	Renewing the Vows

**Yeah, I fell in love with this manga. Problems? Too bad. This is basically a scene way in the distant future that probably won't even happen. So what's going on here is actually Haruka grown up remeeting Mamoru because of some crazy split and--- SCREW THE DETAILS.**

**Disclaimer: … Why bother? We all know what goes here already. **

Bloodied and battered, the female's silhouette limped inside the room; outlined only by the full moon's light. Changing her posture, she stood with her back straight, eyes forward, and a mask of dignity painted convincingly on her face. Her clothes were tattered, as if she were just in the middle of cross-fire, and blood was stained in various places; from her wounds or another's was something no one but God could tell.

"What're you here for, little lass?" a man in the main chair asked. His eyes were covered by darker-than-black sunglasses, with his hair just the same shade. From the looks of it, he was tall... very tall; not to mention powerful. His aura bled intimidation, daring anyone who opposed him to step up.

"I need a bodyguard," the woman bluntly answered. Why else would she be here? This was, after all, a guard agency.

The man chuckled. "'Course you do," he said. Oblivious to if she would get the message, he went straight to business. "How long you want?"

The side of the female's mouth curved upward, as if anticipating this answer since the day her problems started. Yes, this man would be able to protect her. Protect her… and more. "Till death do us part, Hijikata Mamoru," she announced, completely unaware of the surprised faces plastered onto the surrounding company.

A ghostly grin appeared on the man's lips. "Those are some big vows for you, little lass. Are you sure you don't want to reconsider this?" It was a useless question. Unneeded and certainly not worthy of an answer, the man's words had made the room go quiet... Deadly quiet and that was no exaggeration, especially not for a trained underworld organization that had evaded the police for years on end.

"Oh, I'm quite certain." Another chuckle, and then it was full-out laughter. What _was_ going on?

"Well then, you better have a large sum of money, because that's going to be a hefty charge." And just like that, the precognition girl and blind man had met… again. The girl who saved his life at least three times had finally surfaced, now as a grown woman. The man who had dedicated his life to fighting against crime had survived, even after all those years in-between.

**The end. –[Why'd you have to had **Rendered** me **Reversed**?]**
